Bonsall Chamber of Commerce - September 2007 Newsletter
PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Hello Everyone!
Our August Sundowner with the “Hat Contest” was great fun! Did everyone see the
nice full page photo spread in the August 16 issue of the
Village News?
There were probably 15 people with clever hats, designed to indicate what
business the wearer represented. We will probably do this again next year,
which will give all of us a huge amount of time to be creative!
Joni Wilhelm's “The Lace Apron”
supplied the delicious food and the sponsors:
Pacific Western Bank, Prudential California Realty, Annabelle's Gift and Home
Décor, and Dentists Randy Carlson and Charles Drury
were there with hats and big smiles. An enjoyable event on a delightful
Bonsall evening!
Our next Chamber Sundowner is our annual Sheriff's Appreciation Day. Organized
by
Mary Jane Poulter
several years ago, this event has become the mainstay of our monthly
Sundowners. Held in the courtyard near the Bonsall Chamber Office, it is well
attended by our law enforcement folks and government officials. And our very
appreciative community!
Bonsall Honorary Mayor,
Jill Marie Thorburn
has vendor applications ready for the folks who want to display their wares at
the Bonsall Country Festival on October 20, 2007. Please contact her at (760)
535-2998 to get an application and additional information.
And watch for fund raising events by our three mayoral candidates:
Nikki Birchall , Sylvia Spears and Jill Marie Thorburn.

ISAGENIX = BALANCED LIFE. Tony Flores
was introduced to
Isagenix
products by his RN friend,
Nancy
a year ago. At that time, he was working 7 days a week 10 hours a day in the
Real Estate Industry. Eating all the wrong foods, low energy, and heavy work
schedules were taking a toll on his body, and sleep.
Nancy
suggested he start investing some time in himself and remove the Toxins within
his body by a nutritional cleanse.
Tony
agreed to give the products a shot. "
Isagenix
products made me look and feel different," he said. Personal health became
very important to him and he began believing in the products and sharing his
story passionately. He has been able to share his results and change the lives
of many co-workers, family, and folks in our community. To date,
Tony
has helped others lose a combined total of 4,000 pounds. He stated, "
Isagenix
is like a magnet attracting people who want to make a positive difference,
living a free, anti-aging, healthy life". Hear what doctors are saying?

Margaret
has a reason to smile – she's excited to “run for life”

RE/MAX UNITED
Margaret Matlack
Phone: (760) 630-1074
Margaret Matlack,
being of sound mind & state, has decided to run the New York City Marathon on
November 4th for
Team in Training
, the fundraising arm of the
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Why is she doing it? The song says, “I run for life”, And she does!
Margaret
says, “It is an incredible feeling when you know the only reason the person in
their 20's running next to you is alive and can run because of the money we
have raised for cancer research. And when you've watched
Sara
, my first honored teammate, grow from a 6 year old to a10 year old- almost a
teenager- because of our supporter cancer research - they all have a chance to
live.”
Margaret's
goal is to help others get that chance by raising $3,000 in donations to the
Leukemia and lymphoma Society.
Training for a marathon (this is her 8th one) is difficult, yet her challenge
is nothing compared to the daily challenges faced by all the people battling
this disease.
Leukemia, the number one fatal disease of children, affects 10 times as many
adults. Contributing money is a powerful way to be involved when you can't
give your time.
75 % of all funds go directly to patient support and research. Margaret would
really appreciate your support for this tax-deductible cause. Call her at
