PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

This month, we have five (5) businesses that are hosting the Chamber Sundowner.

for this friendly “mixer” giving local business owners, residents, and service
club representatives an opportunity to meet together in an informal social
setting. This is open to the public and guests are welcomed. The Chamber

Prizes will be awarded for the most creative HATS--- A hat that SYMBOLIZES YOUR
BUSINESS (see President's Message for suggestions). We are anxious to see your
HAT. We would like everyone to wear a HAT. Let's have fun with this theme!

The Lace Apron,
is not new to Fallbrook, but under the new ownership
of Joni Wilhelm,
a 29 year Fallbrook resident, it has taken on a new look and new menu!
Joni,
a former personal chef had new visions for
The Lace Apron
. Fresh is the name of the game. The lunch menu offers an array of
sandwiches, wraps, salads and homemade soups. Their soups all begin from
homemade stock, whether meat, chicken or vegetable based. Salads are from
locally grown organic baby lettuce, and their “crustless quiche” has become a
local favorite. The 2004 Avocado Festival Culinary competition award winning
“Cilantrocado Sauce” has been incorporated into their exclusive, “Cilantrocado
Wrap” and is a popular menu selection.
Catering is a
Lace Apron
specialty! Whether it is a sit down formal dinner, a buffet style dinner for
hundreds or a dinner for 8 that you pick up, heat and serve, there are options
for everyone. Their quaint and homey dining room is also available for private
lunches, dinners and even breakfasts both for businesses and families! Other
services include carry out dinners, box lunches, fresh bakery goods, and in the
future, cooking classes. No request impossible!
H ours: Tues – Fri 8 am– 4 pm; closed- Sunday & Monday - Lunch is served from 11 – 2.

HONORARY MAYOR RACE By Andrea Aston, Chairman
Plans are moving forward for our Bonsall Honorary Mayor Contest with candidates
needing to be signed up before the August 9th Bonsall Sundowner. Each candidate
will have a chance to introduce themselves as well as their campaign manager or
committee members. At that time, the CAMPAIGN BEGINS. This is a great
opportunity to promote your business
The candidate that sells the most votes and raises the most money for the
Bonsall Chamber of Commerce will be named Honorary Mayor of Bonsall at the
October 20th Bonsall Country Festival. So far the candidates are: incumbent
Mayor,
Jill Marie Thorburn
(Prudential California Realty) and
Nikki Birchall
(Birchall and Sons).
If anyone else is interested in being a candidate, please contact me for
campaign rules and
regulations. Candidates are encouraged to organize fund raising events.

has scheduled a dinner at Peking Wok Restaurant in Bonsall on Monday, August
20th.
