Once a month, one or two of our members host a Chamber Sundowner. The host
provides food and a site for this friendly mixer giving local business
owners, residents, and service club representatives an opportunity to meet
together in an informal social setting. Guests are always welcomed. For

BUSINESS HIGHLIGHT & SUNDOWNER HOST - June 14, 2007 5:30 p.m.

Rawhide Ranch.
The Ranch is tucked away along Lilac Road in Bonsall (near Sullivan Middle
School). For over 40 years campers have experienced a bit of the old west as
they learn to ride and experience all the pleasures of ranch life. Under the
new ownership, the ranch has continued to provide a high quality equestrian
learning experience for campers from across the U.S. and abroad. While many of
the campers are from the Southern California area, the past years also welcomed
campers from 21 states and 9 countries.
The program is an overnight program designed for children ages 7-15 and
features western-style horseback riding instruction, animal and horse science
classes, vaulting instruction (gymnastics on horseback). Week-long programs
for individual campers are available during the summer, spring, and winter
breaks. Mid-week and weekend programs (Sept. through May) are also available
for schools/youth groups and their chaperones.

Stuart G. Cumming
has been the cook for
Rawhide Ranch
for over 18 years. His culinary talents began in his home town of Edinburgh,
Scotland. He served part of his apprenticeship in the famed Maxim's of Paris.
He owned and operated the Oldstone Inn in New York. He cooked for a TV program
for 7 years. And now, making his home at Rawhide Ranch, what a pleasure to
savor his meals!
Rawhide Ranch is very proud to be national accredited by ACA (American Camp
Assoc.) and CHA (Certified Horsemanship Assoc.)
